1998 Readers’ Choice Awards1998 began with two magazines, DBMS and Database Programming & Design, and ends with one, Intelligent Enterprise. As we look forward to the 1999 Intelligent Enterprise Readers’ Choice Awards, we are pleased to announce the winners of the last DBMS Readers’ Choice Awards. Through the years, we have seen new categories and products emerge as favorites. The results reflect the quality of the products as much as they do the passion of users. For example, we were inundated with votes for Oracle Rdb and Data Junction. In other cases, a consensus has built over the years as ERwin, Crystal Reports, and the beloved Joe Celko continue to top the list.
