Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Web Services Toolkit, BizTalk Server 2002 Web, Services Toolkit Microsoft released new toolkits for Microsoft SQL Server and BizTalk Server in order to improve the native XML Web services capabilities of the two .Net servers. The two toolkits let developers create and integrate XML Web services with their enterprise server environments. Both are currently available for free download. The toolkit for SQL Server also includes white papers, code samples, and documentation while the toolkit for BizTalk Server includes examples and design guidelines for creating XML Web services.
Visual Studio .Net Microsoft released Visual Studio .Net and the .Net Framework, the application development tool and platform for .Net applications. With Visual Studio .Net, developers can create and deploy XML Web services on the .Net Platform. Visual Studio .Net is Microsoft's rapid application development tool. Visual Studio .Net is offered in three editions: the enterprise architect edition, which starts at $2,499; the enterprise developer edition, which starts at $1,799; and the professional edition, which starts at $1,079.
