DataStage XE Family Ascential Software Corp. released the new generation of Ascential's DataStage data integration products family. The products let companies integrate data from all corporate information sources, such as CRM, e-business, and enterprise applications, into a single, companywide business integration framework. The new products include DataStage XE Portal Edition 1.0, DataStage PACK 1.0 for PeopleSoft, and DataStage PACK 1.0 for Siebel, as well as improved versions of DataStage XE and DataStage XE/390. Pricing starts at $180,000 for DataStage XE, $250,000 for DataStage XE/390, and $75,000 (each) for the three PACK products. EntireX Software AG released a reconfigured family of EntireX-brand products, its XML-based Integration Server. EntireX is a family of component-based solutions for integrating enterprise applications across heterogeneous operating systems, applications, and platforms. The EntireX product suite has three major components: EntireX Orchestrator, EntireX Communicator, and EntireX Intelligent Adapters. According to Haht, the suite combines the functionality manufacturers need to manage customer-facing business processes across multiple channels. With the Haht Commerce Suite, manufacturers can integrate and analyze business processes between channel partners, distributors, and customers. The suite has four functional areas: order management, product and brand information management, business intelligence, and customer service. Pricing for the suite starts at $150,000. "South Beach" Citrix Systems Inc. is developing a new portal product codenamed "South Beach," designed to aggregate Windows, Unix, and Java applications, native Web applications, and internal and external content, through a single, secure, and personalized Web interface. Citrix believes South Beach will bridge client/server computing and the evolving native Web world. Citrix will announce the pricing for South Beach in the first half of 2002 when the product is officially released.
