Loudcloud Earns Report Loudcloud Inc. was one of the first companies to see the value in earning a SysTrust certification -- and the first in North America to earn its stamp. Founded in 1999 by some of the Internet's early innovators, including Netscape cofounder Marc Andreesen, Loudcloud is a software infrastructure service provider. Its solution for outsourcing global Internet operations -- automating many of the formerly manual tasks associated with the deployment, support, and growth of Internet operations -- promised to deliver reliability, efficiency, and performance quality. To deliver this secure environment at both the physical and logical levels, Loudcloud bundled together a suite of technologies, supporting them with in-house specialists and clearly defined processes. Still, Loudcloud needed to assure its current and prospective customers that this technology infrastructure and customer-site operations would remain available around the clock, as promised in its service-level agreements. Earning a SysTrust report provided Loudcloud with the proof that it needed to communicate more effectively with its existing and potential customers.
