BroadVision Inc. released BroadVision One-to-One Enterprise 6.0, an e-business application platform with Java 2 architecture. BroadVision designed the new version to be compatible with the previous version of One-to-One Enterprise so that existing implementations can migrate to the new platform with little modification. The new version also contains updated applications such as BroadVision InfoExchange Portal, BroadVision MarketMaker, and BroadVision Retail Commerce. Compuware Corp. launched OptimalView, a 100 percent Web-driven enterprise portal. OptimalView integrates static and dynamic information from different sources (including applications on different platforms and business processes running within and between organizations) into a unified portal interface. OptimalView runs on Internet Explorer 5.5 and Netscape 4.0 and higher; supports various operating systems such as Windows NT, Solaris, and Linux; and supports major databases such as Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Server. Tradia Inc., a Web services software company, released InstantXML, a new developer software that changes Java-based applications into Web services that can interoperate with other Internet platforms. InstantXML helps Java developers publish and use Web services without requiring expertise in Web service standards such as XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI. InstantXML is written fully in Java and is available now through Tradia's pilot program. InstantXML will be available to all developers in June 2001.
